Your identity, made in your browser.
rootcard.org becomes your home: it stores your public log and your encrypted vault. The keys are generated on this device, and the password never leaves it. You can move to another home later with your recovery card.
Early software. rootcard 0.3.1 is pre-1.0 and has not had an external security review. Use it for testing and low-value accounts.

Save your recovery card
This is the only copy. The recovery card resets a forgotten password and moves your identity. Nobody can recover your identity without it, not even rootcard.org. Anyone who has it controls your identity: keep it offline and private.
The recovery card file (.card.json) opens in the key tool. Store it offline, for example on a
USB stick, or print it and keep the paper in a drawer.

Your identity is live with rootcard.org as its home. Its log was fetched back and verified in this browser. Download the account file too: with it and the recovery card you can move everything to another home at any time.
